DEFINING THE RIDE

WITH OVER 250 HOURS OF RIDE TESTING COMPLETED THE INITIAL DEVELOPMENT FOCUS AND GOALS FOR MY2020 WAS TO IMPROVE THE SUSPENSION AND OVERALL FEELING FOR THE NEW INTENSE PRIMER MODELS. INTENSE FOUND AN EXCELLENT COMBINATION BETWEEN ITS XC LINK AND ENDURO LINK CHARACTERISTICS WITH A NEWLY DEVELOPED JS TRAIL LINK, WHICH OFFERS A HIGHER LEVEL WHEN IT COMES TO THE TRAIL-BASED RIDING THAT THE PRIMER IS DESIGNED FOR. THE NEW LINK SYSTEM OFFERS A PEDAL PLATFORM SIMILAR TO THE XC LINK, WHILE TAKING THE LEVERAGE CURVE THROUGH THE MID-END TRAVEL OF THE ENDURO LINK.

JS TRAIL LINK

THE JS TRAIL LINK IS ALL ABOUT BALANCE BETWEEN CLIMBING AND
ASCENDING EFFICIENCY. THIS DESIGN IS OPTIMIZED FOR PEDALING
EFFICIENCY WHILE PROVIDING A PLUSH FEEL FOR SMALL BUMP
COMPLIANCE. THE LEVERAGE CURVE FOR THIS LINK DESIGN STARTS OFF
HIGH FOR A SUPPLE BEGINNING STROKE ALLOWING THE SUSPENSION TO
CONFORM TO EVERY CONTOUR OF THE TRAIL. THE LEVERAGE THEN
RAMPS UP TOWARD THE MIDDLE TO GIVE THE FEEL OF A BUILT-IN
PEDALING PLATFORM WITHOUT RELYING ON USING SHOCK LOCKOUT.

ON-THE-TRAIL
ADJUSTABILITY

WHILST RIDING THE ALLOY PROTOTYPES, INTENSE DEVELOPED
THE FLIP-CHIP ADJUSTABLE GEOMETRY. THE NEW DESIGN
ALLOWS ADJUSTMENT OF THE BOTTOM BRACKET HEIGHT AND
HEAD TUBE ANGLE WITHOUT CHANGING THE TRAVEL, IN A
SIMPLE SYSTEM WHERE CHANGES CAN BE MADE IN MINUTES
AT THE SIDE OF THE TRAIL WITH THE UPPER LINK AXLE BOLT.
ONCE THE TEST MULE WAS SET, INTENSE CAREFULLY
DEVELOPED THE CARBON MODEL, WHICH WAS THEN TESTED
RIGOROUSLY BOTH IN THE LAB AND THE REAL WORLD TO
ENSURE THE VERY HIGHEST PRODUCTION STANDARDS.
FINALLY THE NEW PRIMER, WITH ITS HIGH-QUALITY
PAINTWORK AND EXQUISITE DESIGN, WAS BORN.

ADJUSTABLE GEOMETRY:
FLIP CHIP

THE MY20 PRIMER & PRIMER S WILL FEATURE A FLIP CHIP THAT CAN
QUICKLY CHANGE THE GEOMETRY AND RIDE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE
BIKE, IN JUST SECONDS. THIS FEATURE SLIGHTLY CHANGES THE HEAD
TUBE AND SEAT TUBE ANGLE, AS WELL AS, THE BOTTOM BRACKET
HEIGHT. THE LOWER POSITION IS TAILORED FOR SMOOTHER “FLOWY”
TRAILS AND SLIGHTLY REDUCES TRAVEL WHILE PROVIDING FIRMER REAR
SUSPENSION. THE LOW SETTING INCREASES BOTTOM BRACKET HEIGHT
AND ADDS SUPPLENESS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE STROKE FOR RIDES
ON ROUGHER, TECHNICAL TERRAIN.

THE NEW PRIMER OFFERS A FRAME SET-UP SPECIFICALLY
DESIGNED FOR THE 21.5″ AND 29- WHEEL SIZES WHILST THE
PRIMERS COMES WITH A 279 SET -UP. IT WAS INCREDIBLY
IMPORTANT THAT THE INTENSE ENGINEERS FOUND A
SOLUTION THAT PROVIDED SIMILAR PERFORMANCE DESPITE
THE DIFFERENCE IN. THE PRIMER AND PRIMERS BUILDS OFFER
SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO
MAXIMUM FUN AND PREMIUM PERFORMANCE TO EXPLORE
NEW TRAILS AND TACKLE NEW TERRAIN.
